The dolls are handmade by the gifted and tireless women of the Arous Elbahar (Bride of the Sea) Center in the vibrant, diverse neighborhood of Jaffa in Tel Aviv. Just a few of the skills women can learn at the center include craft making, computer skills, financial literacy, and general job skills. The center also has organized discussion, support, and education groups for teenagers, women over 20, and an Arab-Jewish women's group.
We visited the center and fell in love with the work the women are doing in their community. They walk their talk.
