A two-sided ring that you can flip to suit your mood. The ring is adjustable and features two different oval, semiprecious stones. When you flip the stone, you can change between the two. The rings are made of alpaca silver. Fair trade certified.
What is "alpaca silver," you ask? A web search tells us that it is a metal alloy that can be of things like copper, nickel, zinc, or iron. There are no alpacas in the silver (in case you were wondering). The web also tells us that you shouldn't use silver polish on it, but rather warm water with lemon juice or mild soap.
These rings are made in Peru by Luz & Sandra, a mother-daughter team within their family business. Luz and her husband, Marco, create jewelry and oversee a workshop with ten artisans while Sandra enjoys working in their storefront shop in Lima. Their business has grown from making jewelry sold to backpackers on an individual basis to an international one recognized for its quality and creativity.
