The artisans who made this sweet cardinal work with Manos Amigos, a collective created almost 30 years ago to help Peruvian artisans sell their beautiful work on the international fair trade markets. Manos Amigos helps artisans with trade partners, trend identification, and expansion materials. It also runs tours to introduce visitors to local Peruvian culture and artisans. Manos Amigos donates 20% of its profits to social work support to provide warm meals, school uniforms, and school supplies to local children. It also provides scholarships for artisans’ children to attend university. Fair trade certified.
