This has certainly been a momentous time in the United States. You haven’t seen us much on social media because like so many of you, we have been watching current events and feeling heartbroken, moved, and inspired all at the same time. With dark, comes light – and for so many of us, it’s been an enlightenment. Finally... Although a pause in life was necessary, we know a “pause” is not progress. If anything, it’s a push forward. When we, collectively, stopped, watched, and listened, some of us saw things we never imagined. Some of us felt the country finally saw what they’d been trying so long to tell us. We were forced to be with ourselves, question our morals, and reflect on the problems and challenges we face personally and globally. We want to believe that through these challenging times we can create light, change, bravery, understanding, and action.
Cultivated Community is back from hiatus more committed than ever to help grow and contribute to the fair trade movement, artisans who are marginalized within their society, and artisans who are simply doing the right thing by the environment and their community. You will see more activity from us and we are excited and dedicated to do our part in cultivating and growing our community knowledge, kindness, love, and giving back. We are happy to be back!!
